One of
the greatest changes that my clients have often made was around the thoughts that they would think. When someone has been thinking negatively for years, it is a huge
revelation to decide to change these around and it comes with vast positive
consequences.
In
‘The Great Escape’ by Geoff Thompson he states that “by the
age of 18 the average person has been told ‘no’ or ‘you can’t do it’ 148,000
times…and as a consequence 90% of our internal dialogue is negative.”
I’m passionate about helping others
to feel good on a moment by moment and day by day basis. So if you often
feel time pressured and somewhat stressed, try starting your day with some or
all of the following sentences:
1. Today is going to be a great day (because I’m going
to make it so)
2. Whatever happens today, I can handle it
3. I’m feeling on top of the world
4. There is plenty of time to achieve all that I need
and want to achieve today
5. I am a strong and worthy person
6. I choose to always think well of myself
7. All is well
You may like to save some of these on
your phone or a post-it note if you feel they resonate with you. (We need reminding constantly to think
high quality thoughts, so by keeping them somewhere nearby, you will always be
able to refer to them and remind yourself, if you find yourself going off
track.)
…so from now on, see how your day
goes when you use these upbeat, positive statements instead. Don’t
question them, just use them.
When we feed ourselves uplifting
and positive messages we are sending them to our subconscious. This does
not judge or criticise, it just listens and takes notice of them. So give
it a try, nourish yourself with some high quality thoughts and see how your
daily wellbeing improves. The more you use them, the more natural and
easy to recall they will become.
Focus on these 7 sentences
to boost your daily wellbeing and you will find it easier to make
positive changes in your life.
